Lovely layering...

I bought this skirt back to uni with me after coming home
for your Birthday - and I've only just got round to wearing
it. I wanted to make it less cutesy so hid the sequins under
layered tops and added my cropped jumper from topshop.
The necklace was a last minute add on to the outfit -
a sale purchase from topshop a while ago - I really
like the vintage feel. Most of the outfit is from topshop
actually. Trying to resist buying anything else at the
moment!

Spring Feeling...

I had to get up early this morning to finish work, but it wasn't
long before the sun was shining and I could see how blue the
sky was. So I picked out a skirt I haven't worn since last
summer and built the outfit up around that. There's a clash
of print and stripes which I quite like.
As it is still very cold outside I wrapped up warm - choosing
cream accesories (all Birthday presents, including the cream
beret you gave me for my 18th!) to go with the skirt.
Was so lovely to see you at the weekend!
Hope it's as bright and sunny in Cardiff lovely!

Some new purchases!

I would firstly like to point out that none of these items cost over £10! What a bargain hunter i am! I loved the pattern of this blue and white dress and it has a really nice cut out back. I have two wedding in the summer i thought i could wear this to one..although it may be a bit short?!
This is my jumpsuit which i think i have decided to keep now! (I would just like to confirm that i have never taken an in-the-mirror photo of just myself before but this was the only way to get the whole thing in!) I was worried it was a bit tight but Mum thinks it's the 80s style! You can't tell in the photo but it has pleating in the top bit! Think it would go really well with my grey blazer and your grey heels...if only i lived closer to you!!
This is another wedding dress possibility! The pattern is really nice but hard to see here! Found a gorgeous navy and brown satchel style bag in a charity shop the other day which goes really well too!

A few birthday clothes!

Here is my lovely lovely top! With a cardigan my nana got me! I'm not sure if it's a bit boring with just a denim skirt (and i've worn in with plain body cons) but i don't know what else to wear, an suggestions?! Also there is my new bird dress which i love the fabric of! And also a top my mum got me with a peter pan collar-my favourite type of collar at the moment!! Any suugestions of what the wear with that too?! You can see my pretty flowers in that photo too, very colourful and reming me of springtime!

A Taste of the Twenties...

The blog has definitely been neglected the past few months, but
the perfect opportunity arose for some blog-worthy photos when
went to a 20's themed cocktails and cupcakes party a few days ago.
I wore the sequined vintage skirt that I turned into a dress,
with my topshop black and cream shoes - I was quite pleased
with the overall effect! The event itself was filled with people in
gorgeous 20's inspired outfits and the cupcakes were delicious
 - I had five! Plus, the cocktails were served in teapots and cups
and saucers - it was so cute - a great way to drink cocktails!

My 'Back to Uni' post (sorry it's late!)

So I completely failed to stick to the 'at least one post a week'
promise, which means three posts for my Week 3. First, the outfit
I wore today for lunch with a certain someone ;) It includes the
skirt you helped pick out two/three years ago (which I still love),
the carousel necklace and red beret, both from accesorize, plus
my brogues. The second photo is one of many amazing sunsets
I've seen from my room - it's in the perfect direction for the sun to
disappear between the houses and trees. Finally, the skirt that
Anna made me for my Birthday - I can't remember if I showed
you or not, but I know you will appreciate the florals!!
Will try very hard to post once a week from now on
...can't wait to see you in a few weeks!
Lots of love!

Back to uni!

I've included pics of my lovely new room! My new green skirt (which i'm not sure about anymore!) and my new maxi dress, boots and jacket!! I know it's not the season for a maxi dress but i love loved it! My boots are military style and were an absolute bargain! They are going to be very practical in winter aswell!
Very much looking forward to my trip to Oxford!! Been thinking about going out outfits already!

We're all going on a summer holiday...

A lovely week away at the seaside with the girls: including sun, sea
and sand; freshly baked bread, cupcakes and crepes from the bakery
next door; cream teas and BBQ's; dancing, reading and making the
most of a sunny break in Salcombe!

Lazy summer days...

Finally back from uni with lots of free time - so tea and
scones and jam and cream and elderflower fritters in a
country cottage garden with lovely people...summer has
finally begun!!

The girl in the red dress...

So instead of revising I decided to create another post and I'm sure I will shortly be making a cup of tea!
Here are a few more of Jojo's photos and of course, the red dress! There is a champagne garden party (with cake and strawberries!) on Saturday and I'm tempted to wear the dress again. We should do a H & M garden collection post at some point with our combined purchases - I don't think I have seen the shorts yet - maybe when the sun comes out again they could form part of your outfit for a post!
I am feeling very uninspired in terms of outfits at the moment. I think mainly due to the grey skies. I was so happy to be woken up by the sun this morning and wore my new floral playsuit to celebrate...unfortunately the sun disappeared quite quickly and it is now grey again and too cold to be wearing the playsuit. Never mind, I am sure Salcombe will bring lots of sun and I can wear the playsuit and sun hat!
Hope the exams and preparations are going well and look forward to a post when all the craziness ends for you!! Lots of love

Flowers in the park...

I was walking back through the park on Friday morning and thought I would try and take some artistic photos of the flowers - not exactly professional photography but I think it captures them fairly well! This was the morning before the ball - lovely and sunny at this point but then it rained. Luckily throughout the evening the rain stayed away - so no soggy dresses and flat hair!
I really hope you can visit soon so you can see the city and the parks and we can go vintage and charity shop shopping!

Yesterday's outfit...

Didn't manage to put it up yesterday, It was lovely and sunny so I thought it was time to get the Topshop white rose dress out - which I think we both also have too? Also wearing the H & M garden collection shoes, which despite also being floral go pretty well!

Ghost in the gardens...

I thought I would put a few of Jojo's photos up - they seem quite vintage looking and were taken in some gardens not far from the house.

New purchases!

Thought it had been a while since a post - so here are a few things I bought when I went into town yesterday - a floral playsuit (£15 in the sale from Topshop!), a floral bikini (also from Topshop, bought with Salcombe in mind!) and a beach hat which I think I will accessorise with a scarf (also with Salcombe in mind). Have you got anything new recently? I will put a post  up soon of the outfit I wore yesterday - the H & M dress we both have with a denim shirt - felt very summery! Hope you have enjoyed the sunshine this week - Barry Island looked fun!!

Both back for easter...time for a dressing up afternoon

Photos taken with the purpose of sending some to What You Wore, part of What Katie Wore. A number of outfits, mostly with a floral theme (no surprise there!) and there's always space for a Cath Kidston mug, a pink watering can and a splash of red lipstick...
